American Express to End Membership Rewards Transfers to Etihad Guest in India From July 1, 2026
American Express is ending Membership Rewards transfers to Etihad Guest in India from July 1, 2026. Cardholders can move their Amex points to Etihad Guest only until June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM IST, after which the partnership will no longer be available. American Express cardholders in India will no longer be able to transfer Membership Rewards points to Etihad Guest starting July 1, 2026.
Card Members can continue transferring Membership Rewards points to Etihad Guest until June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM IST. After this deadline, the American Express partnership with Etihad Guest will no longer be available for point transfers.
Etihad Guest has been one of the airline loyalty programs available under the American Express Membership Rewards program, allowing Card Members to convert points into miles for flights and other travel-related redemptions.
Last Date to Transfer Amex Points to Etihad Guest
If you are planning to move your points, make sure you complete the transfer before 11:59 PM IST on June 30, 2026. From July 1, 2026 onward, transfers to Etihad Guest will no longer be available.
What This Means for Amex Card Members
This update only affects Etihad Guest transfers. American Express will continue to offer other Membership Rewards redemption options, including eligible airline and hotel partner transfers, vouchers, and points-based redemptions on qualifying transactions. Some examples of active partners include Marriott Bonvoy, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.
American Express also notes that redemption options and participating partners under Membership Rewards may change from time to time.
Other Ways to Use Membership Rewards Points
Apart from travel transfers, American Express Membership Rewards points can also be redeemed for online vouchers, used against eligible purchases, or redeemed through Pay with Points, depending on card type and applicable terms.
